Wealth Analytica is a technology vendor. We supply software to FCA-authorised IFA firms; we are not authorised or regulated by the FCA ourselves. Our customers remain solely responsible for the financial advice they provide to their clients. The platform does not provide advice, recommend products, or approve financial promotions.
Wealth Analytica's regulatory status
Wealth Analytica is a technology platform. We sell software to firms; we do not advise consumers. None of the regulated activities under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 are conducted by Wealth Analytica.
Specifically, the platform does not:
- Arrange deals in investments
- Manage investments on behalf of clients
- Make personal recommendations
- Advise on investments, mortgages, or insurance
- Approve financial promotions on behalf of any party
- Hold, transfer or pool client money
Our customers' regulatory status
The IFA firms who use Wealth Analytica are FCA-authorised. They are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, registered on the FCA's Financial Services Register, and remain solely responsible for any advice they provide to their own clients.
Where the platform produces an analytical output — a portfolio analysis, a fund comparison, a suitability report draft — the IFA is the named author of the advice. Wealth Analytica is the tool the adviser uses to produce it. The line is the same line that exists between a wordprocessor vendor and the legal opinion a solicitor writes using it.
Data protection
Where Wealth Analytica processes personal data on behalf of an IFA firm, we act as a data processor under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. The IFA firm is the data controller. Our privacy policy sets out how we collect, store and process personal data; data processing agreements are available on request.
Financial promotions
Marketing content on this site — including pages that compare Wealth Analytica with other software products — is commercial communication about our software. It is not a financial promotion under PERG 8 and does not require approval by an FCA-authorised person.
Articles in our Insights library cover regulation, technology and practice operations for IFAs. They are written for an audience of FCA-regulated professionals. They explain how rules work; they do not constitute advice to consumers or to firms.
Reporting concerns
If you have a concern about how Wealth Analytica or one of our customers is using the platform, email hello@wealthanalytica.com. We respond on the same business day.
If your concern relates to financial advice you have received from an IFA firm — not to the software — the right route is the firm itself first, then the Financial Ombudsman Service. Both routes are independent of Wealth Analytica.
